Film #6 (BTS) – The Twins

“The Twins”

This was the one solution we were all stumped with finding a great narrative driven piece. We had idea after idea after idea, and the group didn’t really like any of them!

During one of our meetings, Erin Mainwaring (one of the DPs), came up with this idea when we were all stumped. It’s a realistic interpretation of how this particular solution works, shown in a time-lapse form.

In the film, we have twins (hence the name) sitting in a giant white cube with two chairs that are sitting side by side. As the scene commences both are sitting in the chairs while one gets covered in mud while one barely gets touched in dirt. For this particular film, we casted the Lovett twins—Jason and Jacob--who were so great and willing to have dirt thrown at them for 4-5 hours. They wore white white t-shirts and white scrub pants, which was the perfect outfit for this metaphorical scene.

The set was super fun with some brotherly love thrown in!
